Mini Gerbil debugging – engraving result

Symptom DetailLikely causes and their solutions (in recommended sequence)
Engraving stopsThe particular file being engraved has curves radii that are incompatible with current GRBL ‘arc tolerance’ settings.  The Mini Gerbil comes with $12=0.002 as a default settings (see what are $ settings), so try tweaking this value to enable your image to be engraved. According to GRBL documentation (https://github.com/grbl/grbl/wiki/Configuring-Grbl-v0.9) Lower values give higher precision but may lead to performance issues by overloading Grbl with too many tiny lines. While, higher values traces to a lower precision, but can speed up arc performance since Grbl has fewer lines to deal with.
Engraving result differs from experience with previous controllerThe effect of the laser is a result of many different factors, including the design of controller electronics, so results will differ between controllers.  The good news is that with the right now how you can get great results.  See https://awesome.tech/k40-laser-best-possible-engravings/
