Software before getting Lightburn license

hello
i'm new and almost a rookie woth laser cutters
cause i have in my hand an old k40 with a totally different wiring ...and it's becoming tricky to let it get a MG3 installed
i would to try a software with almost no issues that is free, to check if the new controller is installed properly and then get a LB license for the future
is there a suitable (that runs on osx high sierra) application ?

You know that Lightburn has a free 30 day trial period I hope? So you can get things going and then if everything's good, go ahead and purchase, we sell licences on our website.
