Scan Speed Steppers Staling
Hi,
With my previous NewlyDraw board I was able to easily hit 320-350mm/s without steppers staling.
However with the Mini Gerbil I am staling at anything beyond 220mm/s.
Is there any Hardware/Firmware/Setting I can adjust?

Hi Eric,
On the software front, please ensure you’re using v 0.9.02 or later of Lightburn. Some earlier Lightburn versions defaulted to lower USB speeds, which aren’t compatible with high speed motion.

I think they removed the Braud Rate from LB a Version or two back.
Several days ago I did set the Braud Rate to 1280000 through device properties for the driver.
That didn't seem to do anything.

I guess you mean 128,000 not 1,280,000 ?
Please set the Baud rate to 230,400, which is more appropriate for higher performance than 128,000.

There isn't anywhere in LB I can find like previous versions I have seen where that can be set.

Thinking being on USB 3.0 might be the reason I swapped the MG to 3.0 port and the computer doesn't even see it. Port drivers are good and fine other devices tested just to be sure.
This normal?

Hi Eric,
the good news is that in LB 0.9.02 as long as you have the correct device installed, Lightburn will override the device driver settings you showed and use 230,400 baud. The correct device to install is shown below.

Sorry, didn't see your USB 3.0 comment before I posted my response. We're not aware of any issue with USB 3.0, so, yes, everything normal and the advice still holds. As long as you're using Gerbil-STM in Lightburn, it should all be fine.
That Mirrors my settings, yes.
Must be my USB/CAT5 Cable
Long ago I made a Cat5 w/ term blocks on each end with USB punched down for extension.
Last night I purchased a high quality USB cable should be here soon.
We shall see...
