Cloudray 50w psu
Ok. Made rookie mistake the other day. Bought a 50w tube for my omtech k40 without buying a 50w PSU. I now have a machine that makes a whistling noise but no laser output. Guessing I have blown the PSU. Going to get a cloudray 50w PSU to replace it but it doesn't seem to have all the connections that the original has (photo attached!!).
Is it an easy replacement and if so where do the multitude of wires go to only 2 connectors.

Hi Andy,
the 50W supply doesn't have a 24V output, so you'd need to add an additional 24V power supply to drive your stepper motors. The wiring is a bit more complex, but doable.

Ok. Think I have a 24v PSU hanging around due to demolishing a 3d printer a while ago. When you say complicated wiring......how complicated 😂 cheers.
Unfortunately it was a 12v. So will have to get one. Any idea on specs.....5a, 10a etc. Thanks. Andy

Do you have a wiring diagram re the cloudray PSU and a 24v PSU for the steppers, as about to pull the trigger on the psu
