I made a macro test fire in light burn.

The USB jumper is only to help with USB and gnd issues. Make sure that the WP and LP links on the power supply are closed. The LO signal (laser on or enable) needs to goes to gnd in order to fire the laser via PWM. Measure the LO with a multimeter (voltage range). When you issue a M3 (cnc mode spindle on) or M4(laser mode laser on) via the console it should go down to zero. Issue a M5 and it should go back to 5V dc.

If that works, issue a M3 and S200. That S200 switches on the PWM, 200 is the strength of the signal.

The macro we posted just fires for 1 sec for alignment and as a safety feature.

Let me know if this helps, cheers, Paul

Ok will check it out,  i was thinking it could be that water safety shut off? I also read on the forum do i need to go into console and send $32=0 then do the testfire then re-enable once i get my mirrors aligned?

So what plug is the water safty supposed to plug in PG or KK i read on another forum people said the plug was in the wrong plugin but they never said which one it was supposed to go into. Mine is plug into PG plugin is that right?

update from others i have asked the water safety break seems to be in the right spot. So to check this to make sure it the water switch i would unplug run the water and omh the pin on the plug right? There should be no resistance or very little if it working right?

Sorry to ask so many questions but does the laser panel on the K40 have to be set to a certain percent?
