adjustable bed(?)

If I use 4 bolts in the corners on my diy bed do they have to be mounted to base of unit or can they just rest on the base? Thanks

There isn't anything that requires the bed to be secured in order for the laser to function. But you don't want your bed or material shaking around either so if your running high speeds there may be vibrations that cause the bed or material to move if you don't secure it. If it were me I'd mount the bed securely so it wouldn't shake around.
