Laser does not turn off, power control

Hi,
I recently bought the Gerbil board. I have a problem that the laser starts to cut after starting from the home position and does not turn off after finishing the cutting.
Engraving test jumped by burning plywood :D.
Please do not know what it can be like?
Can it be because I do not have a potentiometer connected? I have a PWM signal only.
